And it’s very weird. Chris Pratt and Charlie Day (not attempting any kind of Italian accents obviously) as Mario and Luigi just seem…wrong, somehow. And also Anya-Taylor Joy as Princess Peach by the way. I miss the days when studios could hire genuine voice artists to play animated characters- surely if there’s any brand that can sell itself it’s Super Mario. This one is bound to be a smash no matter how bad it is.
