The USC Scripter noms are here and hey, they picked Top Gun! I had no idea that the original movie was actually based on a magazine article. That bodes well for Top Gun getting into adapted screenplay, which is pretty weak this year and doesn’t really have a frontrunner for the category. We’ll see what Scripter does with it.
