In no surprise at all, Pinocchio won five Annies last night, including feature, directing and music, but I wouldn’t exactly call it a sweeper, as Marcel the Shell and even Puss in Boots won some stuff too, including writing for the former. It doesn’t matter of course, as Pinocchio is clearly winning the Oscar due to the respect for Guillermo del Toro himself (though I’m wondering how well the movie is even loved, to be honest).
