I’m posting the trailer for this tonight because I suspect this movie will be a big favorite when the Independent Spirit nominations are announced tomorrow. I only heard of it when it was released just a few weeks ago (it’d be nice if the good movies didn’t all come out at the same time of the year and wind up piled on top of each other). Paul Mescal, who made a big impression and got an Emmy nomination for one of my favorite shows of the last fews years, Normal People, is said to be amazing in this film and with the Best Actor field so weak this year, could be in the conversation for a surprise nomination, if critics come through for him.
